This post has moved to: The difference between flaking and dandruff.
Flaking of the scalp is either produced by dandruff or a dry scalp. Dandruff is distinctly different from flaking in that dandruff has a greasy flake which is larger in size than flakes caused by a dry scalp. Flakes from a dry scalp have a powdery structure and are caused by the accumulation of dry skin on the scalp.
